    If you have a local lumber store (not home depot), they would either have it or can order it for you. The internet is a great source as well.

    www.rockler.com is where I get a lot of my stuff.

    If this is your first time trying to laminate something, then you might be better off using a cabinet grade plywood and skipping the laminate all together. These have a nice layer on top that you can stain and comes in a lot of species (birch, cherry, oak, etc.).

    great suggestion. I was looking at some of this the other day and it was really nice looking stuff.

    they don't have any spanish cedar at home depot. i used to work there. but they do have plywood. i have looked at www.rockler.com and i have a 25% off lumber there. thanks for your help. i'll need more help later.
