I learned a long time ago - medicine is many times a "best guess". Sometimes they get it right - sometimes, well...

I just had a doctor swear up and down the spot on my shoulder was skin cancer and needed to be IMMEDIATELY removed. He is supposed to be one of the best Dermatologists in our area (and there are a crapload of them!). Biopsy comes back - it's "scar tissue" - so much for him being positive it was cancer... Now I'm going to have an even bigger scar where the scar used to be.

Read up on Migraine headaches - see what the doctors tell ya. Some say it's "vascular", while others say it's "nerves". And both are only half right...

That sounds like something to really be concerned about, Ken. Randomly passing out is not a good thing! I wouldn't play around with doctors "guessing" at what it might be. You might want to think about the Cleveland Clinic or the Mayo Clinic. There are some of the best experts in the world at those two places. If someone is going to be guessing - that's where I'd like it to be...

Good luck - I hope it's nothing more than the brand of coffee you were drinking!

I think you are dead on George. I'm going to my doc this week to see what other options I have. I asked the hospital doc what he thought it might be...He gave me no clear anwer. He basically told me to go home and keep a watch on myself.

Far as the coffee goes...I'd rather have a good dose of it than atropine. I heard the doctor call for it as I was passing out in the ER. Fortunately I came back around before the administered it.

I did get some really good care in the ER. In my line of work you get to know many ER workers on a first name basis. From my check in time to the time I left I was given trememdous care from my friends.

Damn Ken. Hope the tests can help the doc sort things out. That must've been a little startling - I'm glad you're up and running.

Wow Sarge....Sorry to hear about this. Keep going at the doctors until they find out what it is. You're a good one and good ones don't go down easy. Keep up the fight and get better brother.
