I do not smoke but I tend to hand out a few cigars here and there. One guy that I gift cigars to smokes a pipe and loves the vanilla tobacco. I gifted a few very expensive cigars to him and I have learned from the experience what not to waste on him. He loves Romeo and Julita's, he also liked the the S.T. DuPont which just this second I am realizing I've been confusing this cigar with Davidoff since i got the box a year ago and no one has corrected me.!!! OMG ... Anyhow if he likes them they got to be more in line with the pipe tobacco he smokes then not. He told me he had to pitch the Opus X I gave him because it was too strong. I also believe from doing a little research that this might be a good list to try.

Davidoff Anniversary no.3 Tubo: Very much in demand nationally, this medium to rich cigar displays creamy sweetness with a smattering of spiciness that is sure to please the most sophisticated of smokers! Consistency truly is the hallmark of this fine company!
    1. Montecristo White Churchill: A truly beautiful cigar, this wonderful medium-bodied smoke offers a lively dance of cream, spice, and nutmeg. This must be the best Montecristo to date.
    2. Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Royal Sterling Fortis: This rich cigar has exceptional construction. The Honduran Claro wrapper allows for a clean pallet while the roll offers a wonderful burn and a perfect draw. Look for a touch of coffee on the back end of the smoke!
    3. Romeo Y Julieta Reserva Real no.2: This is a great any time, any where medium-bodied smoke that has a fairly complex pallet. Hits of cream, nutmeg, and salt will present while the aroma is light and not offensive to those around.
    4. Diamond Crown Maximus Churchill no.2: This is an excellent medium to rich cigar that displays superior construction and smooth flavor. If you desire the perfect draw and burning, this alone will be worth the price! Definite nutty creamy flavors will remind you why you love cigars!
    5. Punch Gran Cru Monarch: Smooth and creamy, this rich cigar displays a subtle sweetness and a light nutmeg spice! A fine after dinner on the deck choice, this cigar will win you over!
    6. Ashton Double Magnum: A truly fine cigar, this medium-bodied smoke is creamy with a hint of hazelnut and a splash of spiciness. This is a great choice for almost any occasion.
    7. Avo no.3 Classic: Medium to rich, this exceptionally smooth cigar harbors creamy and dark chocolate tones that are great any time, any where!
    8. CAO Criollo Bomba: Sweet and spicy, this medium-bodied smoke has a great construction and a lively pallet. If you enjoy the Arturo Fuente Hemmingway Series but would like more flavor, then you should try this excellent cigar.
    9. Camacho Rare Corojo Toro Dark Natural: This medium to rich cigar is as close to the "Cuban flavor" as you can get without the ATF knocking on your door! Wonderful sweet, spicy and nutty tones encapsulate the pallet while the construction provides a decent burn.
