can this smoke be saved?
At a yard sale last weekend I found a cigar at the bottom of a box of assorted garage junk. The cigar was in its cellophane.
The junk was left behind by a renter, and the owned said "Yuck, a cigar, you can have it."
This was in Carson City Nevada, which is kinda dry.
The cigar is an A. Fuente Gran Reserva maduro robusto. I carried it home in my travel humi and inspected it when I got home. It was wrapped in a cedar sleeve and seems in good shape from the head all the way down to the band, but the foot needs help. The sleeve and band had kept the wrapper intact, but not at the foot end. The wrapper and cap are cracked and flakey there, but none of the filler is damaged.
I have it in my humi now, unwrapped, and letting it acclimate slowly. Is there any remedy I can make to the unstable cap and wrapper? Is it worth it for this cigar?
Thanks for any help - I hate to see a cigar die.
