i would say pitch it. if the owner didn't know about it, its probably dried out and worthless.

Pitch as was stated. It's not worth the work. Most of the oils and flavor are already gone.

I think many of us have experienced something similar. I doubt if it can be saved, but if you have room, leave it in there just to get some experience with it. You'll know in a month or 2. Experience is, after all, the best teacher. You'll probably end up pitching it, but what's the difference if you pitch it today or in a few weeks
Thanks for the input - I think I'll pitch it. Took a look at it this morning after I posted and see the wrapper has started to pull loose. I think for a five-buck cigar the cost/effort/time to rejuvinate it would be a waste, and as stated probably a lot of the flavor is gone.
Ah, well - I'll give it a decent burial!
UPDATE - I searched and found that liquid pectin can be used for cigar glue - bad news is the store wants $6.95 for it. I'd have to fix a lot of cigars to make it worthwhile.

Way too much trouble for what is likely a $5 Fuente at most. Had that been Denver, I wouldn't have even picked it up - done for in a matter of hours outside the humi. In SF, maybe not so. Foot damage? Burn the bastard! If it doesn't work out, get your money back
