Good question. For those unfamiliar with vettes: First, this is the C6 not the Z06. The Z06 at 427ci (7 liter) 505hp is a rat rod with a fixed top capable of 200mph. I prefer to keep it under 150.

The C6 has a 376ci (6.2 liter) 430hp and gets 16mpg city and 26 highway. Many are claiming 30+mpg on the highway. That is incredible for the engine size.

    Carbon Footprint.
Dude, that is better gas mileage than the little 2.2 liter Honda s2000 that I had.

Anyway, I'm pushing 60 and there aren't too many things that get me excited anymore. This little red Corvette helps a lot. Oh, and this is sweet, it does have the Z06 exhaust system which opens a bypass at 3500rpm and allows a straight flow. Loud. Well, this even goes one step beyond that. It has a remote controlled (keyfob) that lets you open or close the exhaust baffles any time you want. Let's rumble! Crazy.

Very cool. The C5 and C6's are pretty much some of the only domestic cars that I will take the time to appreciate!

    Congrats!

I would bet against 30, but reckon 26 is possible using a few computer tricks. You should have a dollar bill ready to toss out the window when the inevitable tree hugger gives you the finger from his Prius.
