I stayed out of the conversation for two reasons... I'm all new-like and I didn't want to say anything that'd make Hex regret his decision (thanks for the great forum!).

I've been a member of a few motorcycle boards that got bought up (in a very similar fashion - 5 or more at a time) and those boards were ruined within a year. Same story on those boards "I'm an avid motorcyclist", "This is my passion", etc. I'm sorry this didn't work out for you financially, but I'm glad the countdown to destruction has been stopped.

By the way, is he going to restore your banner or do you have to wait till you've got control again? It looks so plain up there.

It'll be intersting to see if Jon ever logs in again now that he doesn't have an investment to check-up on

The cigarsmokers site is still physically hosted on my servers. We never moved any of the code or database over to his servers. He did have access to everything for a few days, but that has been removed per his request.

I'm on the fence about those Yahoo Ads. For the most part they weren't really targeted in most cases, and really the click through rate was horrendous. I'm going to wait till all this pans out before considering other options.

Are you referring to my comment in the Pineapple Express thread?

Up in smoke doesn't count, its a classic!

    I missed that thread.

Actually Cheech and Chong got back together and have been on tour for about 3 weeks. They played the Hampton Beach Casino, in Hampton Beach, NH on this past Thursday evening. Funny stuff, but they look old.

Not that there is anything bad about being old Ken.

Yes, I removed the caminoviejo banner ad a few weeks ago. I wanted to see how the direct link was affecting some search engine rankings.

I thought they were referring to the Yahoo Text Link ad banner that was at the top till last week.

Shows how much attention I've been paying.

I just figured ordering from your store would be a way to help support you/this site (caminoviejo.com is yours, right?). I found the link in your profile & I'm looking to see if I've got room for something in the humi.

I'm far from a regular here, so I may have no right to post on the subject. But I have been following the threads on various boards relating to Mr. Caputo's purchases and attempted purchases with great interest.

Moments ago I checked the member list here because I wanted to find all posts by joncaputo. It appears that, now that the sale has been called off, he longer had sufficient interest in this forum to keep his membership. I believe that it would have been a simple matter to remove his Admin status and give him registered member status.

No axe to grind here, I just don't think his primary interest was "community" oriented at all.

If the site is yours, could you set something up to buy less than entire boxes? I'd love to be able to help the site by ordering from you, but fitting a box into a college budget is a bit rough
