I dig the special S. Nice full bodied smoke although different than the V it is just as smooth however it is a bit more money so I tend to stick with the V.

Agree 100%. While the S is a nice smoke, I think it's a bit too pricey. And I think the V is a nicer smoke. When it first came out I suspected that Oliva might even drop the S line.

I have noticed that the V seems to be better young (to me anyway) rather than with some age on it. Anyone else notice this?

I've never managed to keep any long enough to find out.

Actually I have experienced just the opposite. The V lancero is one of my rotation smokes, and I usually try to stock up so they can rest a couple of months at least in the humi. For me this additional rest rounds out the profile for me. Different strokes I guess.

These Oliva Serie V Maduros are one of the best sticks I've had in a long time! If you can get some, grab them while they're available. Excellent quality and extremely rich taste!

Good stuff, but I agree with Mark. Too pricey. However, I think we'll see some "specials" before to long.
