I don't think that it's a good idea to use baking soda in your coolerdor. Baking soda will just absorb the moisture out of your cigars. You will need some sort of humidifer, such as Rh beads, gel crystals or foam(beads are the most used by the members of this board). Also make sure you get a hydrometer(digital would be best).

Do a search here for Rh beads and, also read the "how to build a coolerdor" thread in the accessories forum. Do your research before you kill all those cubans.
Baking soda is to clean odor from it. I got the beads and digital higros from Heartfelt some time ago (just ordered another 3 pounds of beads).

Im following the howto and will attach my pictures to it so everyone can see.
