Thread: Cigarsmokers Box Split

I just took a closer look at my ERdMs -- also have cracked foots on 3 of the 5. I suspect the problem was there before I packed them up as they are the only ones with reported problems. In the grand scheme of things, my cracks don't look to bad (I hope these are similar to the other reported cracked foots (or feet?)), and I probably would have shipped them -- might have made sure I kept the worst looking ones.

I gladly figure out a solution to replace if anyone is so inclined.

A couple of mine are like that, now that I went back and looked. Nothing major at all to me. I'll just set them on fire

Thanks again, and good luck on your trip!

Got mine yesterday but couldn't post because internet was down. Everything looks great. Thank you for doing the box split!

I received my sticks yesterday. One of the Trinidad's had a split foot, but I'm in total agreement with Badwhale that it isn't a big deal and I'll still enjoy it.

    Thanks for hosting Ed!

These are just suggestions for future passes that I would be interested in, but probably not in September:

New Orleans Cigar Factory Vieux Carre
    Viaje Platino
    Joyas de Panama

These have my attention. If they're overpriced dog rockets, feel free to let me know:

    JC Newman ~ Brickhouse Cigars

    Just a suggestion.

I don't know, depending upon price, I would be willing to try a 5er

I believe they're part of the AF family of cigars. And they're Nicaraguan puros (I think). To be honest, I just saw a big page ad in CA at work here, and just started poking around. I think they're new this year.

They're giving some story about how this is a revival of some age old blah blah blah, but I to me, its just a new line of cigars.

Do we have enough interest for the Brickhouse Cigar?

I was thinking the Toro size, and I can swing the split this time and do a fiver myself.

Pending $ I could be down for 5. Would be amenable to trade for 5 as well.

Brick House is a JC Newman product, the same company who brought us the El Baton. JC Newman and AF are close but JC Newman also puts out cigars that aren't made by AF. One such name would be the El Baton. Good stick though, hopefully all their products come out that way.

    Ok, its on.

I'll get a box of Toro's Monday from texcigar. The price per stick will be ($137.99+$7.5shipping from them)/25 per box = $5.82/stick+$4.80 for shipping to you.

Whoever's in, its MO to me.

Got home last night to find an email from Texcigar that the product from JC Newman was not recieved yet, so now they're on backorder. If you don't mind a wait, there will be 10 up for grabs at the end of it. I will post when my order has shipped. PM if interested.

Anything going on? I thought I saw mrtr33 was putting something together...

I do recall a suggestion for some Vieux Carre -- anyone interested?

Badwhale -- let me know if anything is available from the last split.

    Default Update ~ Brickhouse

Ok. I finally recieved these today. Texcigar gave me a nice break on the price for the backorder. The final tally is this:

    117.99/25 = 4.72/ cigar

    Myself ~ 15
    EGQ ~ 4.72*5=$23.60+$4.80shipping = $28.40; Paid; DC 0550 3699 3000 0924 5579; Delivered
Carlos ~ 4.72*5=$23.60+$4.80shipping = $28.40 Deal Cancelled due to lack of communication / payment
    MarineOne ~ 4.72*5=$23.60+$4.80shipping = $28.40; Paid; DC 0309 0330 0001 3362 8153; Delivered

That means there's a 5er left. (Taken by MarineOne...)
