    Default Very Excited New Guy

    Hey all,

I have been reading the forums for two or three days now, impatiently waiting for my account to be activated. I am very excited about joining your community.

I recently graduated from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. I am stationed in boring Del Rio, TX where I am awaiting pilot training. I grew up in Hattiesburg, MS and Scottsdale, AZ.

I started smoking cigars in order to have a common hobby with my step-dad.

About 6 months ago he bought me a humidor and I have been smoking several cigars a week ever since. As far as I know, the closest cigar shop is in San Antonio- a mere 2.5 hours away. I have one friend out here in Del Rio that smokes too.

I already had to catch myself going crazy on the online cigar shops. Hopefully my smoking and my purchases will fall more in line with my budget as determined by Congress.

I hope your ready for the barage of questions I am going to be asking in the future. I will try the search function first. Hopefully I can be sucessful with it.

My favorite sticks to date have been a Padron Anniversario, R y J vintage, Punch and Oliva V.

    Respectfully,
    Ben

Congrads on your graduation and being accepted to flight school.

Welcome to the board Ben and congratulations on your Graduation. I've taken the tour of the Academy and it is a beautiful place.....at least for visitors.

Hit up the newb sampler like Rich suggested.......you won't be sorry.

Do you know what you will be learning to fly first?

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

All pilots start out flying the Diamond DA-20 at Initial Flight Screening.

Then all pilots fly the T-6 Texan II as their first aircraft at flight training. What you fly next is determined by your desires, your class rank and the needs of the Air Force.
