If you have a small sharpening rod that could fit inside, that might work. Though it would be a right pain in the ass to get the angle right and to keep the blade from moving. If you don't have one of those, you'd spend more getting one than just replacing the cutter.
Really though, I think I've only trashed 1 because it became unusable....I've lost more than that.
That's my usual MO. Though with me the best way to find a lost cutter is to buy a replacement...
