Flor Del Todo (42ishx5ish)
Wrapper - Ecuador

I picked up a 5er of these from the devil a few months ago for $1 and put them directly into storage because I figured there was no way they would be worth smoking fresh. My first impression was that this would be a complete dog rocket. It looked like it was rolled by the world's finest quadriplegics. The foot was uneven and torn, the cap was starting to unroll, and veins were abundant.
Upon lighting I got a mouth full of bitter, slightly acrid smoke. Over the first third and into the second, it mellowed out considerably and slightly sweetened. CI says to expect hints of nutmeg, but I that was completely absent to my palate. The only flavor I picked up on was a bit of leather with the tobacco. One good thing I noticed was the good amount of smoke volume and it had a great draw. Into the last third it began to pick up a hint of the bitterness from the first third but never got harsh. Notes of grass clippings began to show themselves about 1.5 inches from the end. It is becoming quite bitter now, so I think I'll end it here.
Pros: dirt cheap, tastes better than it looks, lots of smoke, shoddy appearance didn't translate to poor draw or uneven burn.
Cons: rough start, boring flavor profile, smoke was very very mild
Based solely on performance, i would rate this cigar a 5.5/10. However, given the fact that I only paid $.20 for it and it exceeded my expectations, I will bump that up to a 6.4/10. This would make a good fishing or yard 'gar.
