The Time travel and reboot is a way for them to start the whole Franchise over again.

Considering the pretty infinite ways that they could have tried this (and screwed it up), I think they did pretty good.

Yeah I know - I get it. But what you're saying is the last 40 years 5 franchises and 10 movies means nothing. Naw, didn't like it. Though I'll see the rest of this trilogy. They know they'll get my money.

Not saying the last 40 years didn't mean anything but now with the new technology/effects they can either rehash some of the story lines or create brand new ones.
