Loss of smell

I used the oral version once and it was definitely not worth the nastiness. I've heard that taking zinc nasally was potentially harmful for your sense of smell so never went that route.

I've used it too, and it does seem to work. I've tried different forms - nasal, oral tabs and mists, etc. and have never had any adverse effects. The way I understand the news report is that only the nasal forms will be pulled, but I've only read one story.

That was in the news last fall. Supposedly a small number of people were trying to sue.
