Thread: PETA loves flies

  1. #1

    Default PETA loves flies

"People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals" states:

"He isn't the Buddha, he's a human being and human beings have a long way to go before they think before they act."

Now honestly, do you really have to think before swatting a fly? A lot of mammals have tails which have specifically evolved to swat flys. We don't so we have to use our hand.

There's something wrong here. To a point of actually being ridiculous. JMO

If what you're quoting is true, then I agree.

There's a large difference between, swatting a G-D fly in the kichen, and burrying my dog under a wood bin to teach it a lesson.

yeah.. those people are their own worst enemies!

Most ridiculous, stupid, idiotic thing I've ever heard... I couldn't care less if you chose not to squish a bothersome, unsanitary fly.. But to suggest that it's morally WRONG?

A fly's natural life-span is only about three days!

I'm sure this type of headline is just created to attract attention to the organization, but it still makes them look ridiculous.

This is all true Dennis, and flies are flies but the next time you squash a tobacco beetle, I'm gonna have to turn you in to the PETA authorities and NOGUTS (National Organization to Govern Unruly Tobacco Smokers).

    Probably my favorite PETA story.

I don't think they care about animals nearly as much as they care about publicity. They're like the Howard Stern of non-profits.

An old roomate of mine was a strict vegetarian PETA member. He'd always have these grotesque pictures of tortured animals on the fridge, walls in the hallways. I'd respond my cooking large quantities of bacon while squealing. We're still good friends today.

PETA= People for the Eating of Tasty Animals

Crazy PETA nuts used to picket the Vet. Teaching Hospital, try to prevent the students from getting in the building, and they would try to learn the code # to get in so they could free all the "tortured" animals.
