    Default humidor problem

    Hi,

I have a 2 door Romeo and Juliet humidor seen here that I am having some problems with. One side consistently is too humid (for lack of a better term). I thought it was the crappy humidifers that came with it and upgraded to the glycerin humidifer things about a year ago, but to no avail. The right side of the humididor always reads around 83-85. I know it's not an issue reading the humidity either.

I have also rotated the cigars and draws, but that didn't do anything. Right now I don't even have anything in the humidor to keep the humidity level up because it doesn't go down ever.

The other side usually reads between 75-80 and is fairly consistent.

The humidor is well stocked with around 120 cigars in it currently. Maybe that is not enough??

    What do you recommend?

I would suggest doing a little searching on the forum. Many others have had similar issues. It sounds to me like your hygrometer needs calibrating, i would suggest the salt test. If that is not the case then i would consider RH beads as they absorb excess moisture as well as maintain the RH.

By the way, welcome to board. There is a ton of info on here so be sure to browse the site and let the search tool become your friend. Good luck with your humidity issue.
