I orginally had a 120 count humidor that held about 55 cigars. It wasn't anything special. i ran out of room for my cigars so i started to read up on coolidors and what the best way to make one. i had no idea my journey would lead me to this 500+ beast.

i got my 120 quart cooler from walmart. the biggest problem i had was finding the spanish cedar. it's such a rare wood that 2 places out of 30 in connecticut had it and it wasn't cut or anything. one place wanted $8 a board foot. outrageous. its so uncommon around here that the wood guy at home depot didn't even know it existed(i swear he sadi that). so i found the true spanish cedar at a lumber yard and started to design my coolidor the way i wanted. I want something that looks nice, no offense to the coolidors that just have cigar boxes in the bottom. let me tell you too that this spanish cedar smells amazing. like your humidor mixed with sugar. AHHHHHHHHH. i have a few small pieces if anyone wants to smell it. its that great.
Anyways, i get my design and cut all the wood. it has 2 shelves both 34 inches long. the bottom shelf sits 1 1/2 inces off of the cooler floor. the side walls are 2 1/2 inches high. 3 1/2 on the top shelf. i put post on the inside bottom and made the bottom of the top shelf hang over the bottom so the cedar would fit right on the posts and not move. i drilled holes in the bottom for air flow as well and then sanded the whole thing down. i am very happy with the outcome. total cost was around $100. 50 for the cooler, 30 for the wood because it was leftovers, 6 for the temp/hygrometers, 2.50 for a small fan. had some humidification sponges so didn't need those
