For the car nuts. Chevrolet has introduced a new Grand Sport version of the C6 Corvette. It is a mix of the 430hp base model C6 and the 500hp Z06. Wide body, bodacious tires, front fender gills, special wheels, performance suspension, coupe or vert.

WOW! Very nice. Wish I had the scatch to afford a beut like that. Oh and the insurance! As I imagine it is up there quite a bit as well.
Yay! Cigars!
Very pretty indeed! One of my dream cars... (a Corvette Yellow one, please)!
...but GM can have aerial intercourse with a rotating pastry for all I care!
Chrysler too!

A Vette is pretty much the only thing I would ever buy from GM. Though I would consider the new Malibu, nothing else. Not even the new Camaro.
Yay! Cigars!

I was pleasantly surprised when I bought my '08 coupe. But I do have a few things to help reduce the premium.
1) I'm old
2) Multi-car discount
3) $1k deductible both comp and coll
4) OnStar GPS tracking
5) Premium security system
You ready?
$488/year (Central Insurance Texas Auto Policy)
Yeah, that is surprising actually. Though Im 23, so you would have to multiply it a few times for my rate.![]()

Nice looking car, and lots of fun to drive. Acceleration and handling are indeed impressive and braking is phenomenal. But everyone I know who has one has experienced poor quality. The last one I got into was 2 years old with less than 10,000 miles on it. I went to adjust the power seat and the whole assembly fell off in my hand. The guy who owned it said it happened all the time and I just needed to snap it back in place (no joke!) The car creaked and rattled and a couple of the plastic trim pieces in the inside had broken or fallen off.
Fortunately the only minor problem I've had is the roof poping. The targa style roof has some movement at the front latches and the rear pins that pop when the body twists. It's solveable by keeping some lube on those points. Also, I spend a lot of time on a Corvette forum and don't hear of anything excessive. The Z51 suspension is very firm and will shake anything loose but is well worth the extra coins. On the dual-mode exhaust I just leave the cut-outs open all the time so it's kinda hard to hear rattles anyway.
The Z06 is really firm and IMO not really a good choice unless you're going to race. Now the 638hp ZR1 has everything but then most $100k+ cars do.
