    Default Gurkha Symphony ~ Robusto

    Smoke: Gurkha Symphony ~ Robusto
    Drink(s): Yuengling Porter
    Tunes: turned out, nothing

    Wrapper: Connecticut
    Binder: ?
    Filler: ?
    Draw: Medium
    Burn: Good
    Misc: 90+ minutes.

Pre-light: Tan Connecticut wrapper. Nice construction. Musty tobacco scent. A bitter prelight taste.

    Light: Pretty easy. Medium draw.

1st 3rd: Has a sweet twinge. Nutty flavor. Creamy smoke sofar. Light to medium body, with medium flavor. Pretty nice sofar.

Ash: Light grey. Stakes nice, and holds on for 1 ¾”

2nd 3rd: Mild smoke in general. Has a good flavor. Nutty and creamy. I detect no spices or pepper. Very smooth. This is more of a morning smoke, I think.

3rd 3rd: Similar to the other 3rds. Very mild now, even more than before. Not bad. Creamy & nutty butter flavor. Good breakfast smoke.

Overall impression: As I described it, I probably wouldn’t look for more of these, unless I saw an outrageous deal. I suspect I can find a substitute mild smoke (which I’m not a big fan of) for a better price. There’s a time and place for mild. Either way, thanks a bunch to Smoked! for allowing me the opportunity.

I had one of these a while ago and my impression was the same, a good first thing in the morning smoke. Though for the price, there are a bunch of others I'd rather have. The one thing that did impress me with the one that I smoked was its construction, had a great draw and burn.

Pretty much my experience as well....

Decent first cigar of the day if you can get them at a REALLY good price.

Thanks for the review, my friend!

Another nice review Will. Isn't that two Gurkha reviews in a row now? Are you going for the trifecta with your next review? lol

Nice review Will. I have not yet had a Ghurka, but will need to try soon. You mentioned that the smoke was creamy and buttery. I remember having the same experience with the CAO gold. This cigar might be right up my alley!

    Thanks for the review. Roger.

Good write up. This is one of the more consistent Gurkhas IMO. Definitely lightweight. Definitely buy them on sale.

Thanks for the review; I didn't have a great experience with these. I purchased a 5-pack and I have 2 or 3 in the bottom of my humi to see if they improve with time. I think a good and cheaper alternative is the Cu-Avana.
