Quick update. Mom is no longer on life support. Mechanical ventilators are only so good for so long so they did a tracheotomy (sc?) last week in hopes of helping her breath on her own. We have almost lost her a couple times and up until a couple of days ago, her lungs were not really responding positively. Suddenly, she started to do better and as of yesterday I was able to see her with her eyes open and even got a smile. No idea how long she will be there or what the next steps are but I feel really encouraged!!! Thanks all for the kind thoughts and prayers everyone
