Default Five Star Natural ~ 600 (Torpedo)

Other's reviews (None found, searching the Reviews Forum)

Smoke: Five Star Natural ~ 600 (Torpedo)
Drink: Dominion Beach House Pale Ale; Porter
    Tunes: None

    Wrapper: Connecticut
    Binder: Mexican
    Filler: Dominican
    Draw: Light
    Burn: ran fine
    Misc: 60-75 minutes

Pre-light: Torpedo shape (which leads me to believe that this is the 600 that isn’t listed anymore on JR’s site. Medium brown shade wrapper. A little rough looking, but seems to have good construction. Medium tobacco scent. Light sweet prelight taste. (Whoopsie! Forgot to take the PL pick. Use your imagination:)

Light: Easy light, light to medium draw.

1st 3rd: Sweet tobacco flavor. A little of the walnut skin ring to it (bitter). Pretty mellow. Some nutty flavors. Not too bad. Medium body. Medium Flavor.

Ash: Kind of explosive looking. I just accidentally knocked it off, so I can’t show you right now. Light gray, and very flakey.

2nd 3rd: More mild body now, but on the medium side. Same flavors, sweet tobacco with a faint bitter ring. Medium nose exhale burn, and still has some of that nuttiness to it.

3rd 3rd: Same. Nutty flavor mixed with sweet. One dimensional, but a good dimension.

Overall impression: Not bad. I still have other bundles that I prefer.

Thank you Smoked! for the oppourtunity

Spot on, Will. Mine had the same ash condition. I don't have the experience to speculate with any degree of certainty as to why this cigar seems to be affected so greatly by ambient humidity. It could be something to do with the storage and handling, or it could be that the filler is shattered. If I leave these out in our SoFla humidity, they actually become too wet. There are better bundles, for sure.

Good review, as always, and nice thumbnail!
