I wouldn't call it a strong cigar. I smoked it down to the end but a few minutes after I finished, cripes! Dizzy, cold sweat and nausea. It took about an hour for the symptoms to subside. What the hell do they put in those things? I've smoked some bad-ass cigars in my time but I have never reacted to any cigar like I did with the LVH. I will smoke the other one but only in the presence of a nurse. Anyone else have any reactions to this smoke or am I the only weirdo as far as this cigar is concerned?

The Chateau #1 is a great smoke. Roham and I did a split on a few boxes and the Chateau was one of them. You're right, it isn't a full-bodied cigar by any means. Everything I've read about it says that they are a medium bodied cigar. They are of a "fumas" variety which means they are a mixed-fil cigar. What you tasted was a Nicaraguan puro, and the nation of Nicaragua is home to some of the best tobacco in the world. When it comes to "strength," no one looks down on Nicaragua. What made you sick? Could be anything. Are you under the weather at all? Did you smoke this on an empty stomach? If not, you could've had a cigar with some "green" leaves. At the same time, maybe it's just because you haven't been smoking much.

Don't feel too bad about your experience, most everybody goes through that kind of experience. One of my favorite cigars(Onyx Reserve) absolutely kicked my ass the first time I had it. Start mild and work your way up....and...increase your smoking consumption. Don't swear off this cigar yet-you'll enjoy it again at a later time.
