    Default Smoked turkey

This year I wanted to experiment with my a turkey and my smoker. I usually smoke pork loins and shoulders, and a few other things. I have never tried a turkey before, and I must say it is outstanding, easily the best turkey I've ever had. I'm going to wait till after Thanksgiving to try a couple more, and I'll most likely brine them this time. I didn't brine this bird, as I didn't think about it until it was too late.

The skin is missing cause, well, let's just say some of it disappeared on the way into the house.

Very nice. I'm planning on getting a smoker - next year. This year, I'm going to deep-fry the bird. But I won't thread-jack yours, I'll make my own.

Thanks for posting pics. Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to smoke it?

Lol, there's nothing wrong with a little friendly thread jacking. I would say I had it going for about 3 hours, give or take.
