Yeah George,
When I saw they had the Rocky Patel vintage I moved right in. Figured I'd get the pic up quick to make people jealous, I'll have to smoke one of the champions I bought (not pictured) while cooking ribs tonight, hooah!!!!
Thanks for the buying advice GGiese, I'll let you know what I think of them.
Best
I'd say they were on the mild side of medium. What I liked about them is they started fairly mild, and built to a very nice medium bodied cigar - lots of subtle flavors - with a ton of smoke. The construction on those bad boys is phenomenal! And I like the size they come in - the perfect size for me!Originally Posted by Drake
Last years Griffin SE's were a bit stronger. To me they were like the Davidoff Millenium blend. They were a nice smoke, but just a bit much to me. I had to plan to smoke those - for a time when I would have a strong drink - or after a big dinner.
I like these new ones much better. They seem like a much better all around - smoke them any time - kind of smoke...
ggiese....your just so sweetUnder the tutelage of GGiese, I have made this recent purchase, can't wait to smoke them!!!![]()
I have noticed that with just about any Fuente cigar I buy, that they seem to be a bit too wet right out of the box. They "canoe" and go out easily. I believe its due to the little humi-pak they enclose with their cigars. I always have to let a new box sit in my cabinet open for a week or two before they're bearable.
I have never bought a box of Opus X (!!!!) or seen a newly opened box. But does Fuente enclose one of the humi-paks in with the Opus line too?
Wait a minute.....can you even buy a whole box of Opus X??????
