I was thinking in a generic way but if you need an example then how about Don Diego Players Club? I was the victim of some marketing of this stick stating "92 rated in CA." There are some Gurkha Legends, a bundle of 20 being sold on JR for $89. Am I to beleive that THESE legends at THAT price are the same ones that established the reputation for the brand? I just don't want to buy a lesser cigar if I can help it but I'm also CHEAP!!!!!!!

Just ignore the ratings in CA. They're close to meaningless when new ... after a year or two, they are meaningless.

I particularly don't care for any ratings. I read the reviews from other members on the board and if the cigar seems appealing to me, I'll give it a shot. I have had several $3 smokes that I consider pretty good and I know CA would go "huh!!??"

So IMHO, I say fuck ratings....I'll smoke what I like.
