    Default Montecristo Sevens

    DeeDubya's Review

    Smoke: Montecristo Sevens
Drink: Yuengling Black & Tans off the tap(s)
Tunes: (trying to butch it up here): Smashing Pumpkins ~ Gish; Slipknot ~ All Hope is Gone

    Wrapper: Ecuador
    Binder: Dominican
    Filler: Brazil, Dominican
    Draw: Medium to tight
    Burn: Burned perfect
    Misc: 120min

Pre-light: Cedar sleeve. Mottled medium brown with dark brown swirly wrapper. Good tobacco scent. A little spicy on the prelight flavor.

Light: Good. Medium to tight draw.

1st 3rd: Good leather flavor. Oily. It has a real thick mouth feel to the smoke. Its really dense, the flavors. A sweet tobacco ring to it.

Ash: Nice stacked medium gray. Yellow twinge at the end.

2nd 3rd: Same flavors. Leathery & dense oily tastes. The sweet tobacco is dying down a bit. Maybe some woodsy now. A little spice too. Has a bitter taste mixed in.

3rd 3rd: Needed a good purge at this point. Same profile. Kind of tough to keep it cleared up down at this point. Getting some ash flavors now. I think because its so huge, I could have let it go with about 2 ˝” left. Overall good smoke.

Overall impression: Very different from most montes I’ve had. Not quite my cup of tea, but it’s a solid cigar. Maybe if the draw was a little looser. I dunno.

Thank you slcraiders for the opportunity to review this baby!

Nice review as always Will. These are a bit different for a Montecristo and a huge ass smoke to boot.

    Nice review, Will!

BTW, Gish is my favorite Smashing Pumpkins album.

Ah, I'm going to still say that Siamese Dream is the best one to me. Gish is excellent, no doubt.
