    Default Should I buy these?

C.I. sent me an email for a one day special. $29.99

Rocky Patel 12-Cigar Flight Sampler includes:
    4 - Rocky Patel Signature Series Toro (6" x 52)
    4 - Rocky Patel Fusion Toro (6.5" x 52)
    4 - Rocky Patel Double Maduro Toro (6.5" x 52)

I haven't had the pleasure of the RP's yet, but I've read that some weren't that fond of the Fusion's. Overall though should I pull the trigger and get them?
My! What a nice ash you have!

RP has never let me down so far. I have not tried the fusion but it is on my wish list. Tell you what, pull the trigger on this deal and see if you like them. If you don't like the fusion I am willing to trade you for some Indios I just brought back from Honduras. I smoked my first one yesterday and they are not bad at least for my taste. What do you think?

I smoke the signature lancero with coffee in the mornings......they are pretty mild, but with enjoyable flavor imo. The fusion and double maduros are not enjoyable to me. YMMV

Yeah was more worried about the fusion more than anything though, I think I read that it has the two different wrappers that some people didn't like...dunno. And I haven't had a double maduro anything yet, so we'll see.

Well, that sounds like a plan...I have some Puros Indios now and enjoy them...is it the same ones?

I've told others this. RP doesn't stick out in my mind as anything I have to have in my humi. Typically great, consistent construction, and relentless marketing. The only ones that I really like are the Vintage 92s.

That said, I think the double maduro isn't a bad cigar. One of my buddies really likes the fusion, and yes I believe it is a barber pole (two wrapper) cigar. He gave us one, and the wife smoked it. I finished off the last 3rd for her, and thought it was ok. That's prolly not the best review to go on

I guess what I'm trying to say is for 2.50/stick you can get an idea of some RP cigars. Go for it.

Thanks Will, you're right, for 2.50 a stick, it'll definetly get my foot in the door for some RP's. Just pulled the trigger (BANG), they're susposed to get them out today and I should see them Thursday.

I have to agree. The Fusion DC (barber pole) is a step above a really good garage or yard gar, the regular Fusion (blue label) has Habano in it and I don't care for that taste. The Fusion MM is a step above the DC, but neither are near the 90's or 92's. If you're looking for a good maduro, Sancho Panza Double Maduro and Camacho Triple Maduro are better choices for a little bit more cash.

RP's definately make the grade for a very well hand rolled stick on the cheap.
