The flavor profile would fall somewhere between those two (Illlisione and Cabaguan) as well. Triple cap too. The cigar is firm and veiny. No real prelight aroma (maybe hay). Nice prelight draw and super good/straight burn with a light gray ash. Flavor was an initial blast of wonderful spice. 1/3 to midway, became milder with hints of leather, then returning to spice. I would put this at medium in body and medium complex in flavor. I want to go Nicaraguan due to that initial and finishing spice, but I am going to surrender to the same guess as Rich's last attempt and go CUBAN? Regardless, hell of a good cigar. Thanks for sharing!!!

Either bring on the silly sig tag or give me the green light to smoke this God of Fire...

James, we both had the same guess and both of our puros were from the same country of origin. That was an Opus X Robusto. Dominican. Sorry buddy.

Doh! I did not even stop to think Opus X because from the first post, I assumed this had to be a cigar in the $5 range. The Opus is double that and more ($12 MSRP). I should have know what I was smoking with the Opus .

    My puts are:

One naked puro (in the $5 range)

    CAO Sopranos Boss
    Alec Bradley Tempus Quadrum
Camacho CLE Limited Ed. (unreleased Signature blend)

Unless anyone objects to any of my puts, I should be able to get this all repackaged and hit the PO tomorrow or Saturday...

Eville, I know of plenty solid Cubans in the $5-$8 range. Honestly, that is the price range I thought I was smoking. There are more Cubans in that range than good Dominicans and the Opus is a good Dominican along with Davidoff etc., but those run much higher. Yet, I did not think that high and automatically excluded those. Sorry if I sound like a sore looser. That is not the case. However, I feel the rules should be revised to say $5 and up, or not to exceed $xx instead of stating needs to be around the $5 mark if we are going to play this way. To double that and a half is a huge swing.

Agreed. I'll make the change. Sorry about that, James.

There will be no mercy, and I don't think James is implying foul play. He's helped me specify the rules. Fair is fair. Sig tag sent.

Mangyrat, you're up. Let us know that you're ready to receive.

You know, it could be interpreted here that if you want the flavor profile of a Cuban, just light up a Dominican puro......

X2! LOL. I am not a big Dominican Cohiba fan, but this back to back mistaken Dominican for Cuban thing has me wondering if any of the Cohiba Puro Dominicanos are any good? For the price, probably not as good as the real thing though...

I'll smoke mine this weekend sometime and make a review thread for it. I can think of several other cigars I would have liked to have bought for that price, but the picture on cigar monster was of a 5-pack and I was way to inebriated to be bothered with the actual item description.

We have the same problem. I also buy all my cigars from C-bid & Monster piss drunk off my ass at night. By the next day I have no fucking Idea what I've purchased. I bought some real fucking winners drunk. ie: Royal Jamacian, Macanoodles, and half a dozen other shit sticks while drunk. I think I need to put a breathalizer on the computer.
