New to cigars, just got a humidor

Hello, I just got into cigars. I picked up this humidor http://cgi.ebay.com/Park-Lane-Qualit...item27affd23da.

It came with a humidifier solution, do I got pour some into the round circle in the lid? How much? Also should I wipe down the interior with water first? How does that process go?

1. Yes, you gots to pour some on the little round thing. If you use it that is.
2. As much as it will hold without dripping.
