Dang, want to trade? My wife thinks oil life is exactly 3000 miles, which is ridiculous imho, and she sets her trip-o-meter when I change the oil and filters. The bitching usually starts at about 2500 miles and doesn't stop until I change it again.

For the first 3 or 4 years she had her car, I was made to take it into the dealer at every single maintenance point in the manual, and it had to be in the shop with in 100 miles of the stated mileage.

Extremes suck, that is for sure.......maybe we can mind-meld them and come out with something in the middle....oh wait, it would probably be a man.
