Well, decided to follow local advice ("When in Rome..."), and kevin7 will be enjoying some Siglos here in the next few days. No idea of what will be in store for me, but oh, I can't wait!
Thanks all!

Just another day at the office!
Welcome from western Canada!
I'm pretty new to cigars (smoking them for about 2 yr's now) and very new to this forum. When I first started hanging out on here just a few short months ago, I was still smoking Macanudo's fairly regularly.
Someone already a member here pointed out to me that I would probably find as time went by and I tried more, different, cigars that I would find the Mac's rather bland and tasteless.
He was right. I haven't smoked one now in a couple months and have no plans on ever buying another.
I think what happens is, as you smoke more, various, cigars, your tolerance (would that be the right word) builds up and you find that cigars which once seemed too strong, now suit you just fine. So I highly recommend you always buy something you've never tried befofe when you're at your local cigar store. I would suggest in time, you'll find (as I did shortly after being told that was the case) that the Mac's really don't provide much "umph"
Someone mentioned Padron cigars.......I've found I like them a lot! The same with everything I've tried by Rocky Patel. My most favorite RP's now are the Nording (Maduro) Toro, and the Vintage 1990 (in any size).
Definitely check out the "Reviews" section and start making a list of cigars to try.
I forgot to add, the "Newbie Sampler" is definitely the way to go. I just did one with one of the members who lives here in Canada. I sent him some $$ (I don't have enough cigars to be trading yet) and he sent me an awesome sampler which I'm still smoking my way through. It's definitely worth your time to do a newbie sampler!

Welcome to the board from NW PA.
I second the newbie sampler, you will not be dissapointed.
Also, be very careful when you open the package from Kevin&, you don't know if anything is going to bite![]()
Live each day like it's your last, one day you'll get it right.
If you like those Vintage 90's you may want to try the 92's - there is a fiver on the monster right now (and for the next 54 minutes) for $22 free shipping.
I am in no way affiliated with the monster, I just have this obsessive-compulsive issue with checking their site every hour...

Well, looks like Kevin will be supplying me with my first truly hand picked samples.
I can't wait. :)
I just received my end of the trade from MrPlatypus . Since he was a new guy I had him do his end first and he did a great job. I got his sticks all picked out and butt pressed and curing in the hot southern June sun![]()
The older I get ,the better I was
