    Welcome from FL

As far as RP goes, try a Vintage 1992. They are my favorite that he makes by far. Also the newb sampler is awesome for broadening your horizons. I did it and it was amazing!

Read more, post less and use the search button and the FOGs will love you for it!

Thanks for the continued suggestions. I'm going to try the Newbie Sampler very soon, I think.

    Any word on these: http://www.famous-smoke.com/rp+facto...ars/item+31752

They seem like a good option for a budget smoke.

Get a couple singles, and something else you know you like to try it.

If I had to recommend a budget smoke, I'd got with the Nicaraguan 3000 torp from Famous, or get some Padron classics (thousand series.)

    Welcome to the board.

If you can do it, go for the Rocky Patel Sampler from CigarsInternational.
    http://www.cigarsinternational.com/p...=rocky%20patel

This is what I do to get a good idea of what Rocky Patel truly had to offer, and I am glad I did. I still got 9 of the 10, and one thing I can say is I'm pretty sure the other 9 will be just as good as the first. So far, I haven't had a bad Rocky Patel, and I'm even trying to earn brownie points with the wife so I can get get a box of the Olde World Reserve Maduro Toros under the tree.

Mind you, I would much rather try out several from a brand that get 20 of the same type, just so I can get a good idea if, as a brand, it's something I'll continue to smoke. I plan on smoking Rocky Patels for a long time to come.

9 out of 10 left, and you can make these statements? What if the next 4 suck? What if the next 3 after that are "meh"? Now you're down to 2.

I like the RP 92's, and even after saying that, I won't be looking for them.

I'll give it to RP for great marketing, and excellent construction. After that...it's just marketing.

Stick around, both of you, and you'll see the light.
