    Here Daisy - let me get you started...

    3 Steps to Using Music Legally

    1. If you are interested in a particular song, visit www.ascap.com to find out the publisher of the song in question.

    2. Contact the publisher to find out if the song is available for license, and whether or not the licensing of said song is financially feasible.

    3. If the financial reality precludes using the song, call the PPA – the only organization I could find that’s helping with this initiative. They will refer you to Stock20.com and BrokenJoeyRecords.com for alternative original music available at the right price for photographers.

    My husband done some calls and review the US copyright law and fair use. He check out the following materials.

    * http://www.copyright.gov/fls/fl102.html
    * http://fairuse.stanford.edu/Copyrigh...view/chapter9/
    * http://www.copyrightwebsite.com/Info/Law/FairUse.aspx
    * http://chillingeffects.org/fairuse/
    The answer was:

    " It's possible that you may be permitted to include small excerpts from copyrighted material in your video if what you intend to use is insubstantial or is incidentally included, or where the intended use you have for the copyrighted material falls within a exception or limitation to copyright under the law in your country.

    Anyway our lawyer will make some calls. Thank for your interest in this matter

    ....Tell me, Do you like my art??

    God bless you

    I do like your art! Just as I really like Bread, and Nickelback and Lou Rawls! Hell - I even like Eric Carmen (just don't tell K7, or he'll laugh...)

    And thanks so much for setting me straight on "Fair Use". I had been thinking of doing the cigar boxes and purses, but did not want to do it for fear of infringing on your copyright!

    Ya know - I like your work so much I've decided that I'm going to take copies of your paintings and make up some purses and cigar boxes. Now - please don't misunderstand me - I'm not using them for commercial purposes at all. Let's just say it's a "fair use" of your work that I will pass out to my friends and family. Why I think I might even share with the members of this board! If I can help it - I'm going to put a Daisy painting in every house in America!

    Hey, Daisy - what do you think of the birdhouse I put together this afternoon?

    Anyone interested? I'll send it your way as long as you cover shipping and handling charges. No profit, you understand - it's just for my friends here on the board.

    If we'd stuck to talking about her ass, we'd have plenty to say.

    I like this GG...you need a pirch under the opening for the bird to rest on. Maybe you can widdle a pirch that looks like a cigar. I will pay shipping for that GG!

    Most confusing thread ever, and not because of the vocabulary. This thread I think is the epitome of WTF?
