Holy shit...this is fast turning into the thread to end all threads. It has everything:

-flashes of brilliance (thanks George! and K7!)
    -meltdowns (thanks Paddy!)
-quotes (thanks Daisy! and everybody else!)
    -more quotes
    -flip-flopping (thanks, mr. platypus)
    -pile ons (thanks Daigz!)
    -ass kissing (thanks, Roger!)
-dripping sarcasm (thanks Mark, Will, Doc, Jamie, Tyler, and too many others to name!)
    -blatant niceness (thanks Buzz!)
-thread jacking (thanks, Daysi, for jacking your own thread!)
    -cat pictures (thanks again, George!)
    not to mention
-useless posts that do nothing to add to the conversation and are just a feeble attempt to jack up my post count (thanks, heftysmokes!)

I mean really, I don't know that this thread can be topped. Can any of you csmoker historians come up with a thread that has all the spills, chills, thrills, and romance that this epic masterpiece displays?

We have the defiance of sanity, logic, and reason. We have Scrabble fuel, creative insults, and actually got to see the word "cunctipotent" used in the language, which is a feat I've never seen done. I'm still waiting for the "Correspondent Authorities" to show up and make George's life a living hell, and we've even got pussy (the cat you sickos, the cat.)

This has got to be one of the most messed up threads I've ever encountered, so I'm with badwhale on this one.

Right you are, Cinda. The omission is a reflection on my own lack of thoroughness, not your contributions to this dandy of a thread.
My apologies to the board's favorite lady!

I push the envelope and risk my neck with the "corresponding authority" over my multiple posts in the thread, and you make one stinking post and you're taking "umbrage"??? Seriously???

But I still love ya, Grinella!

I'm going to attempt to restate my position in Spanish. Hopefully I can smooth over my transgressions with Daisy...

Lamentablemente, no he estado recibiendo últimamente mucho tiempo de ahumado...

Me gusta escuchar música. Me gusta gatitos y perritos.

    I sincerely hope that helps...

Here's what the RIAA says about it...

    "Voluntary License

Most of the time, licenses are granted voluntarily by copyright owners for a negotiated fee and pursuant to agreed upon terms and conditions. These are called voluntary (or direct) licenses. Licenses usually take the form of a written contract that specifies the owner of the copyright, what rights are being granted, the term of the license, and the royalties, if any, to be paid the copyright owner.

Common Examples of When You Need a Voluntary License Include:

. . . Using a sound recording in a movie, commercial or other visual work. If you want to use a sound recording in a visual work, you need a synchronization license, so called because the music is "synched" to the video. You’ve already created your visual work and you want to put some music under it. You want just the music for your movie, commercial, documentary, sitcom, or any kind of audio/visual presentation, no matter where it is aired, even the Internet. Synchronization licenses are granted by individual sound recording copyright owners."

Here's the link, if you wish to read the entire explanation:

I appreciate your knowledge about licenses and physiologic affairs, but I like more your opinion about my art, It's my first goal with the video (by the way, personal video for my friends, include you ) . You are a smart man, use your intelligence to enjoy life and don't attack other people's ideas , leave that task to the tyrannies and to the Comunism . Don't worry be happy .

    Daisy,

I know at least two of the songs you're using in your YouTube postings have copyrights. I'd strongly suggest you do a bit more research before you dismiss the advice I offer you. This might end up costing you dearly...

You are not very smart, Daisy - if you dismiss that what you are doing is "personal video for my friends" that's publicly posted on YouTube, with references to your site where you're selling the items...

It's not my "opinion" - you'll find my information is based on fact. And you'll not find a court that will be in the least bit sympathetic if your defense is "don't attack other people's ideas".

    I'm just sayin'
