Extremely nice job, I noticed that you had the boxes torn up and put inside, that's a nice home-made touch!

Thanks!! They are not rolling treys the actually came out of a Rocky Patel box, the cigars that sat on the trays were in glass tubes.
Thank you, yes i thought the box pieces looked pretty cool, there also functional so thats nice too.
So i bought a Xikar 250 count crystal cigar humidifier. Plus i have one of the puck style ones in there too. Im hoping the humidity will start to raise in there. They guys at Corona Cigar suggested I wipe down the walls with distilled water to get the "seasoning" started. They also said im probably going to need 2 of the 250 count humidifiers. What do you guys suggest or think about the wiping the walls thing? Any suggestions as to how to get this thing going would be greatly appreciated, im still kinda a newb to this.
Also any specific place i should put the hydrometer?

Very cool built-in. I like the box pieces as well, adds a personal touch.

Well i did some research on the seasoning process and have begun. So hopefully in a couple days i can start using this thing. Its at about 90% RH right now, and the temp is about 78. Im not to sure about how im going to get the temp down its florida in the middle of summer. Anyways ill keep you guys updated
Check out a peltier cooler, or just put a blue ice bar in there in a towel.

You need to get more sticks in that! You want to try and keep a humidor at least 50% of the way full, it will help regulate humidity better and will lead to less fluctuations. Very nice project though! Well done!
I am certainly working on getting more sticks, only problem is im pretty new and dont want to start buying boxes when im not really all that sure what i like, and im sure my taste will be changing more towards fuller bodied stuff even though right now i like medium. So I will be filling it as fast as i can but im not going to buy just to buy.
Well done +1

I agree with Ashauler on this one, the newb trade is absolutely worth it. Most sponsers can go to whatever limit you want. When I traded I bought a couple of 5 packs for my sponsor and the goody bag he sent back well exceeded my expectations!
Great suggestion guys thanks. Im a little broke right now so i have been buying sticks one at a time but once i get some more play money ill definitely find a sponsor and work out some kind of trade.
Wow. Great job. Looks awesome. Could you show a pic of it with the door open??
I'm curious to see the hinge and seal:)

Thanks very much!
I'll snap some pics of it tomorrow when its light out so you can see it better.
Beautiful job and a great idea on your humidor!
Some of the guys have mentioned buying a Newbie Sampler to help fill your humi and give you an opportunity to try new (to you) cigars. Being a fairly new member myself I did one not so long ago and was VERY happy I did. I highly recommend you do one. If/when you do a sampler, make sure you tell whomever you do it with what you've tried already for cigars. This way you don't end up spending money on cigars you've already tried.
If you're new to cigars, I'm positive your tastes will change as time goes by. I know I've had to give up on some of the cigars I first smoked as they're now too wimpy and tasteless to satisfy me and cigars I once thought were too strong are "just right".
