I'll make the pass a deal - when I win, I get to design my own sig tag (hint: you'll want to maximize your screen resolution and wear sunglasses). In the very unlikely event that I lose, however, it has to be completely white, can't be any bigger than a postage stamp, and just have the letter 'L' in 3 pt. font and in white color.

I'm glad we could come to this arrangement.

The pass has arrived safely. I'll probably get to this by Friday night at the latest.

    Default Puro Notes

    7 x 50-ish
    triple cap
    very firm

    medium draw
    no real pre-draw taste

    clipped easily
    lit easily
burn was pretty good, not razor's edge, and evened out when it would become uneven
    stayed firm and intact throughout

    peppery
very one-dimensional in taste - not sure if that was indicative of being a puro, or if it was from the country of origin, or if I just suck at guessing
    med-full in strength

The pepper prevailed throughout, though, so I'm going to go with NICARAGUAN

I think Mark will be upset that his set of loser sig tags is now ruined...

Yahoo! Those V's pack a punch. How about these for puts:

    Red Lion Maduro
New Orleans Cigar Factory Plantation Reserve
    5 Vegas Miami

Let me know if these are acceptable, and they'll fly tomorrow.

Looks good to me, but based on the odds I'm giving myself, better check with EGQ!

Congrats. I'm anxiously looking forward to receiving the pass.

Requirements for the pass should be monitored by everyone involved, even if their turn has passed. That said, I think Mark's puts are ok.

All right, for my 200th post, my review and guess of mrtr's naked puro!

    Size, shape: 6 x 38? Panatela?
    Color: Colorado Claro
Construction: Smooth, no protruding veins, box-pressed (more rectangular than square), triple cap?, overall construction excellent.

Atmosphere and attitude: Back porch sitting on a glider with my legs up. Early evening, sunny, a little chilly/windy but comfortable. Drinking Britta-filtered cold water. Listening to fellow cigar lovers: Click and Clack, the Tappet Bros., of Car Talk. Feeling fucking good: just received a couple boxes of Filipino cigars and put a new part on my bike in preparation for a 77-miler this weekend.

Pre-light: Guillotine cut. Medium-firm draw, very little if any flavor.

1st 3rd: Started a bit little spicy. Nice taste. Burns quickly due to ring gauge so trying to smoke a little slower. Plenty of smoke. White ash with bright-white speckles and gray undertones hangs on for about 3/4 to 1". Razor-sharp burn. Mild, pleasant after-taste. Full strength, however; already starting to feel it.

2nd 3rd: Spiciness has mellowed a little. Burn a little less even, but still pretty straight. Exceptionally smooth.

3rd 3rd: Spiciness has come back. Razor-sharp burn again. Really feeling its strength. Still has the spicy undertone, taking a back-seat to the smooth, relatively mild flavor. Picking up a little nuttiness (the cigar, not me, despite the look my wife is giving me for smoking). Finally, a little leather...no, wait, that's my fingers singing from nubbing it.

Overall experience: Burned for 75 minutes. Medium taste, but full-bodied. Relaxing, yet it had a pleasant nicotine kick. Great smoke!

Could this cigar be my first Cuban?

(If I hear back from mrtr and hear no objections on the puts by 3pm PDT, I can have the package on the way to EGQ tomorrow.)
