Cigar tip

Got all the windows in the house replaced today. An all day job by a couple fellas.

After they were done, as I walked one out, I asked him if he smoked cigars. He said, yeah, that's all he smoked. I whipped out a couple sticks from my pocket and handed them to him and said, here's your tip. After thanking me, he said while he was working he could have swore he smelled cigars (maybe I should check the seal on my humidors)!

Has anyone tipped anyone a cigar in a similar situation?

Oh, yeah - done that quite a bit. I know that the green stuff is usually the right size and color for 'em, so I always worry that they might not like what I give them.

If I smell cigar on people working in/around my house I just ask what they usually smoke. If I can match them up with something I have they get bonuses. Not as a tip just a PIF kinda deal.

If they say white owls...I just so..."ahh cool" and walk away.
