To leave wrapper on or off?

From now on EVERYBODY will store their cigars WITH CELLO ON!!!!

I will no longer tolerate storing cigars with cello off unless of course they are sold as such. No ...... on second thought.....hmmmmm...... I just came from a local shop and had bought a Bolivar Cofret B. They were in a cabinet box and come with NO CELLO! I'm going back to the shop and I'm going to demand a cello wrapper for that cigar! The idea!

How many times do I have to tell you!? Have you all gone stark raving mad? Cellophane helps keep the cigar more stable. They will still age in the cello albeit just a bit slower.

I do not wish to hear of this foolishness again.

It really depends on on how you are storing them. If you are using only one humidor for all your cigars and are only going to keep them for less than a year I would recommend leaving it on to avoid damage when opening/closing the lid.

While cigars can still breath with the celophane on, I would recommend removing the celophane only if you are keeping them in a PROPERLY REGULATED HUMIDOR. Thus if you are closing or opening the lid all the time, or if you are not properly regulating their humidity, the celophane will protect against momentary fluctuations.

I am involved with storing somewhat large quantities of stogies for long periods of time. Thus, to avoid cross contamination I usually use a seperate humidor for each brand. Cigars that are stored together can cross blend flavors if left for more than 1 year.

i leave my cello on, but cut the tip of the cello so it stays open toward the end, not sure if that helps any, but it still protects my cigars.
