Chicago makes some great stuff, too.
I've also found out (the hard way!) that while you can go cheap on drills, planers and table saws, you CANNOT go cheapie on band saws. I've tried the Delta and the Skil saw, and they both terrify me. Then again, I got spoiled learning how to use those tools with industry-grade machines.
Oh lordy. You're not talking about "Chicago" that you can get at Harbor Freight? I had a chorded hammer drill from them (my dad got me for some reason) that lasted about 1 job before the guts grenaded in it.

I like rechargeable. I like chorded too. There's a time and a place for both.
