Default What do i do with mold on my cigar

I just bought my first three cigars ever online from cigarfox. com, and they finally came after two weeks. Anyway, my gispert toro has a little mold on the end. I am curious if I should cut it off, or burn it off, or what. Also had anyone else ordered from this company? My cigars did come packaged in a really nice case but maybe every company does that.

Let me get this straight......you bought cigars online and they just arrived with MOLD.......and your asking what to do?! Seriously, I would be on the phone right now getting a replacement and more likely a refund.

To send out cigars with mold is a pretty shitty thing to do. Depending on how much mold there is, I doubt it could grow in just two weeks. IF there is a lot, I would be after a refund.
    Yay! Cigars!

If you ask my mother she'd tell you to just wipe it off and smoke it - it's good for you.

I'm sorry, but I don't buy into that philosophy...

Is it mold or bloom? If it's mold, send that shit back. If it's bloom it should wipe off easily and the cigar is fine to smoke.

Would bloom form only on the end though? Post up a picture of it, I'm curious. What store did you buy it from?

The chances that it's bloom are about as good as the cigar tasting like chocolate.

Too bad bloom / plume / mold is not subjective.

Send the cigar to Doc for an inspection. He's one of them fellers that tastes "leather" and "chocolate" and "graham crackers", etc. He'll tell you if it's good to smoke!!!

Hey everyone I looked and its actually mold, but heres what I did. I cut an inch off the end, and pulled it apart. It only seemed to go half way in, so I just smoked the rest of it. As for the company I got it from, they are called cigarfox, and they wont reply to my emails, and when you call their phone its hard to get a live person. I recommend for everyone to stay away from that company, even though the y have a large selection and singles of everything. Thanks for all the help guys!

I guess enjoyment is enjoyment. My first tobacco ever purchased was a single white grape cigarello because i turned 18 and didn't want to wait for the cigars I ordered to come in before i had a chance to smoke something that was cheap first.
