Very hard to tell from the pictures - and those lighters are very often faked.

You'd need to go to a dealer and have them visually inspect it. No doubt they'll give you their honest opinion.

Have you tried to light it...you know, make flame come out of it? If you have tried, and you did indeed make fire with it, my expert opinion would say, yes, it is a lighter.

LOL. Close. They never had a 3-tree on the Rustang. Also, only the '65s has the infamous 170ci. I have a mighty 200ci, cast in maifold. Plane Jane no options, unless it came factory 65% rusted & bondo galore!

Actually, the 200ci is an anemic engine, but could be considered stronger than a V-8 because it's got 7 main bearings, where V-8s only have 5.

That's what us 6ers tell ourselves.

I feel your pain! My '67 coupe had the 200 I6 and 3 speed M/T. I soon realized that it sucked. So, I gathered some parts and swapped in a 390 and C6! Next combo will be an EFI 302 based motor with modern trans and give it to my mother.

AS FOR THE LIGHTER..... It's not a Mustang. I can tell that from here.

Well, right off the bat you did me one better, 'cause you can fit a big block in the '67.

Ah. I had a '66 Falcon. 'Polished' the 170 c.i. intake and head, modified the carb, changed the tree for a Hurst ... drove it from Toronto to California in between high school and university.

I miss triangular vent windows! :-)

390 is too heavy for the chassis. 302 is better, especially with the Aluminium heads these days.
