As a new smoker one should not opt cheap products but should go for branded one
To ease into things...try Rocky Patel Connecticuts or a Macanudo
The LFD Chisel and Joya de Nicaragua Antano are REALLY good and smooth but pretty full bodied for a beginner...if you haven't eaten or are new to full bodied cigars you will get your behind kicked. I prefer full bodied cigars and I'm used to them but if I smoke an Antano with an empty stomach even I will get alittle buzzed.
Good luck...and enjoy...
I did...but from my experience...the LFD Chisel...the ligero or double ligero aren't for the lightweight. I haven't tried the cameroon or coronado chisel so I can't attestto their strength. The OP seemed to say he wanted to stay on the milder side of cigars for now. The Antano is definitely full bodied...
No disagreement there. In my experience both the cameroon and coronado versions of the chisel lack the punch of the dbl ligero, but add some subtle nuances the ligero lacks, especially the cameroon.
My point was that the OP is long gone, got good recommendations later in the thread, especially the one about visiting a local tobacconist, and then the thread filled up with spammers, etc. At which point the thread ceased to be about cigar recommendations and more about levity.
One good piece of advice I was given when I first got here was to "read more / post less" until I got a feel for the place, it's membership, and really, for forums in general. It worked for me.![]()
