  1. Default Cigar Organizing

I'm fairly new to the large humidor game as I have had a few small humidors that I used to house my collection until recently. I now have a single humidor that I use to house about 150-200 of my cigars which are mostly singles with the exception of a box of Ashton maduros and two boxes of Mi Amor's. I am very particular about the way I like things to look and be organized and I was wondering how all of you organize your humidors as far as keeping it functional and attractive looking for showing off? I have a three level humidor with 2 trays that can hold about 30 cigars each and a space for boxes at the bottom. Having a hard time figuring the picture posting thing out but I would be glad to if someone has advice on how to post them.

I've got three trays in my display/daily smoke humidor - one tray mostly Maduro, one tray mostly Cuban, and one tray mostly non-Maduro non-Cuban. Each tray is split between cigars taken from boxes from the coolers, i.e., inventoried, versus cigars from passes/trades/bombs etc. (not inventoried nor eligible for passes/trades/bombs etc.). Every couple of months I restock, and end up with a totally different random arrangement.

    :-)

Seriously though, with what you have, I'd suggest sorting by age if you must sort, even if you put a little label on each cello with the purchase date (which a surprisingly large (to me) minority do). I've never had a (non-Cuban) cigar that got worse after sitting for a year, but I've had plenty that smoked better after some rest.

Anyone that has ever gotten a cigar from me knows I do.

You need to post your pictures on an off-site place like photobucket then link them to here. You insert the link to your photo in the "Image" popup when posting. There's some friggin' new feature here that then gives you a second popup screen which pisses me off to no end. You have to select the "From URL" tab and enter the URL to your photo there.

Doing reviews, I don't get any additional pop-up. I upload images to photobucket (can use anything) and it has a little drop down menu that when you hover and click on it, it does a "copy" of the image link.

This, I just paste into the review and I'm done.

You have to go into General Settings and change your default editor from Basic, to either Standard or Enhanced. Then you can post pics directly without having to post them to a third-party site (second row, 13th button).

Pic of the humidor, first shelf, second, and then my overstock/"aging shelf". Top shelf is using the dividers out of a box of My Father LE box.

I have all my boxes at the bottom and boxes of single at the top of my coolidor. I keep a few sticks from the lower boxes with singles so I don't have to dig to the bottom all the time. That way when someone comes over I can just take out a few boxes that show all my sticks instead of pulling out every box. Like someone said earlier, I also have them with like-wrappers.
