Smoke: Murcielago ~ 6.50x40
Drink: Young’s Double Chocolate Stout
Tunes: Bob Segar / Judas Priest
Wrapper: Mexican
Binder: Mexican
Filler: Nicaraguan
Draw: Medium draw
Burn: Good
Misc: Smoked sometime in September 2011
Pre-light: Maduro Oscuro wrapper. Excellent construction with pigtail cap. Not a vitola I saw anywhere online. Came in the QSH VI goodie bag. Dark, musty smell. Spicy and dusty sweet tobacco on cut PL taste.
Light: Easy light, medium draw.
1st 3rd: Oily. Spicy. Sweet tobacco offsets the oily. Has some nutty woodsy notes. Good balance leaning towards toothy…
Ash: Flaky, light gray, with little ash bubbles. Holds for 1 ½”
2nd 3rd: A lot like the first 1st 3rd. Oily and sweet tobacco mix. Oily might be taking precedent. Spicy with a good medium body. Full flavor, however a bit 1 dimensional. I was hoping for some more nuances, but they’re not there.
3rd 3rd: I didn’t write anything down for 3rd 3rd, however I recall thinking later that it was pretty much like the 2nd.
Overall impression: I have no urge to look for more, but it wasn’t bad.
