I read it too fast and I subconsciously added the words "and LOST" after "I made a bet with my wife that I could go all year without a drink" so I was thinking that CigarBear had made a bet with his wife last New Year's Eve, lost the bet the next day and has hitting the sauce all year because hey, why not, he already lost the bet and he was going to make another stab at the bet again this New Year's Eve.LOL.
