Wife Equation for cigars

I read about an equation for the wife about cigars.
The equation said that what ever you spend a year on cigars you should 20% on your wife.
That means to me that you go out and buy your wife/girlfriend a present out of the blue.
So I spend about $120 a month on cigars which is $1440 a year. 20 % of that is $288.
So I went out and bought the wife a new hand bag. She loved it!
Then I dont have to hear anything about my cigar habit.
