Candela, those usually aren’t cello'd, but if they are, I take that off, and use aluminum foil, but only ¾ of the way down from the foot of the cigar.

Claro...depends if it's a barber pole or not. Sometimes in that case, I'll take the cello off, only to cut a barber pole stripe in it to cover the Colorado or maduro part of the wrapper.

Colorado-claro, you’ll never ever EVER want to have cello on there. Replace that with wax paper.

If it’s just a plain Colorado shade, it’s up to you. Maybe you want to leave the cello on to protect the cigar’s wrapper in your stash.

Colorado - maduro shade wrappers, I keep the cello on, definitely.

Oscuso, I cut the top off the cello, and replace it with brown paper bag material. I've been doing this for years, and have had excellent results.

If a cigar ever comes without cello to begin with, I always add it. I have a stash of well aged yellowed cello just for this instance.
