I have no idea what "Windows ME" is. Is that Windows 8 or something?

I tried using the Mac or Apple or whatever it is down at Town Hall and all it did was piss me off. I'm not a graphic designer so I pretty much have no use for Apple/Mac stuff.

I don't have a "tablet" or one of those damn smartassphones with a touch screen because with my cold, calloused fingers, I can't get any damn touch screen to work properly (especially any ATM) and I'm not wasting money on a "tablet" that I will wind up smashing a half an hour after I buy it.

I refuse to play games on computers, I waste enough time on cigar sites and don't have enough time in life to do the things that take priority over playing games on computers (which I think is just about everything).

I thought XBone was X Bone so like badwhale said, I thought it was a porn site.

Sorry, I guess I just don't have much to add to this discussion.

I do believe there is some validity to being part of a "crowd" that likes a certain operating system (I was in various computer user groups many moons ago - and heard/saw the debates). I have noticed in recent times it carries on - you're either "Android" or you're "iOS", but not both... I even see folks evangelizing, trying to convince folks one is better than the other (It's rather comical, actually). But - personally - plain and simple - I dislike certain operating systems (choose one over another) because I don't like the way they do what they do - good, bad or otherwise.

I still primarily use MS (work) - spend a fair amount of time in iOS (play) - AND - use Linux/UNIX when it serves my purpose (mostly work - I've kinda moved away from my "hobby" use)...
    Damn, you must be old!

I missed out on CPM and started in DOS........but then, I was a late bloomer and didn't get into computers until I was already 30 so that could be why too.

I'm stuck using MS as my main OS at home because I do enjoy gaming on my computer and most games just aren't ported to Linux. I still have a Linux box, and XP box and a UNIX box running in my home office. Each serves it's function. The UNIX box is a router/firewall, the Linux box a server and the XP I just kept around because it's my old gaming rig and I can't just toss it after all the years and upgrading so it's my TeamSpeak server........LOL

I have issues with each OS. If someone could magically combine all the best features of each together into one, I think we'd have a winner. Better yet, give me the OS they use in the computer on Star Trek!

    Couple things about GE:

Our one neighbor in college had this game, and it was all we ever played. Jon was so good at it, we'd all just gather on the couch, and watch him play, like it was a movie. His moves were that fluid. He also had a 600watt or something huge, sound system. He had a mixer that he'd put techno on, and they had a string of Christmas lights up going...wait, I'm going somewhere else with this. Oh yeah, well, he'd play music, and still the game's sounds would come through like a sound track. Loved it.

Also, the TV I'm using downstairs for this was one of my first purchases after college with my new job. 27" Sharp, and the N64 just so I could continue playing the game.

For the ultimate cheat "invincible" I figured out that the Pat Benatar song "invincible" was exactly the time needed to complete that level (2:05) and I'd play it over and over in my apartment to get that cheat.

Good times. Guess I should have been out trying to find wimmin, but whatever.

Yeah, we used to smoke herb while playing too.

I've got a couple buddies that are ridiculously good at video games. Frustrating, but impressive. And, I don't remember the invincible cheat.

It was the total best cheat. Nobody could do anything to you at all. You could walk through grenade blasts and everything.

Ok. First person to tell me the game, what the code got you, and the system it was good for, gets a couple of sticks from my stash. Don't go thinking you're gonna get my pineapple backwoods people. I might throw in a vanilla strawberry cream though.

To be fair: answers will begin to be accepted Sunday January 12, 2014 at 11:11 PM. AND in light of some new information I just received...the game must be the one that I played. That's it, no more rules. Winner will be decided by me, it may come down to a judgement call. Deal with it.

Um, didn't a bunch of Konami games use that code?

Maybe, but I only know of one. I guess I should have had more rules.

New rule: it's gotta be the game I played.

Geez, just trying to give away a couple free gas station smokes.

LOL. Here's a hint everyone; it has to be one of these games: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...ami_code_games

(I only remembered it from the NES, but it seems that there are lots more...)

I agree with George on the NES Contra part, but I'm pretty sure it got you 30 lives. There may have been other games that used the code, but they all stood in the shadow of Contra's giant, swinging, earth dragging weiner. One of the best NES games ever. If you say any of the other games that may have used that code and not Contra I'm starting a ban poll on you. :)

Is this response too early? I remember there being a start time in the rules but I am too deep into typing this out and too lazy to go back and look.

It's well after 11:11, can I just resubmit this?
