Secondly, let's look at your figures.

-Netflix "10, 20, 30, 50 a month" - Hmmm. I only pay $7.99 for all the digital streaming I want. If I wanted DVD's, I would pay an additional $7.99. But I choose not to. Not because I hate Netflix, but because I personally would not benefit from the additional service.

-Internet Access: "50 - 125 a month" - My internet service is a set price. If yours fluctuates that much, you should look for another provider. Oh, and I pay a fair amount for my service. Not because I love the company, but it is a service I see value in.

-Microsoft wants $5 a month to watch Netflix - C'mon now, this is not true. First off, an XBox Live Gold membership is $4.16 per month. And, you get a whole lot more than just Netflix. Much more, and much better than Playstation Network. Here's a link to some of the benefits.

Like I said in the beginning, you have the right to choose. That's what makes this country what it is, and I hope to God it stays that way. So, keep playing the Playstation (which I have no problem with, and will probably get one of them too). But let's try to keep a conversation based on facts, not some seemingly socialist bullshit.

There are SO many things I love about being in a Capitalist state - not the least of which is all the cool toys we have! But - gotta be honest too - I'm not thrilled with the way M$ and Sony suck money out of their products. It's definitely Capitalist, all right, but I guess I'm struggling understanding why I should have to pay for anything that used to be free - even if it's just paying a "small" charge to play a stupid video game online. The concept just creeps me out...

And I am incredibly P.O.'d that what used to cost me $25/month (POTS phone service) now costs me north of $200 for the "bundle" so that I can keep up with the world...

But I do also get it (as much as I hate it) - cool toy development does have a cost...
